Children at Skallywags Nursery are provided with a varied, balanced, and nutritious diet that supports safer eating practices in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) 2025.

We provide breakfast, a morning snack, lunch, an afternoon snack, and tea each day.

In our baby room, parents are asked to provide their child’s food from home.

As babies transition into the toddler room, they are gradually introduced to the nursery menu in line with their developmental stage and individual needs

We take allergies, dietary requirements, and cultural or religious needs very seriously.

Parents are asked to provide full details of any food allergies, intolerances, or specific dietary requirements before their child starts at the nursery.

We work closely with families to ensure that each child’s individual needs are met safely and respectfully, promoting inclusion, wellbeing, and positive mealtime experiences for all children.
